I'm considering buying either the MBT's or the Skecher Shapers to tone up and get in better shape but I see all kinds of mixed reviews. MBT's are more expensive than the Shapers so I'm left wondering if the MBT's are better. Has anyone purchased either pairs of these shoes for fitness purposes and seen any signifigant results? 1246

The Shape ups just aren't supportive enough, MBT's are very stable and hold your foot in place so you get the full benefits. I would spend more and get the MBT's- I bought the shape ups, wore them once and then sold them 1283

I purchased Skechers while my MBTs are being resoled. It is a totally different type of walking. The two are not comparable. The Skechers are much more comfortable (like walking on air). Given the cost of the MBTs, the $ 80 resoling cost after 6 months, and the switch to cheaper production methods, I will now be buying Skechers. 1290

I just returned from the World Shoe + Accessories (WSA) show in Las Vegas. The biggest trend was rocker-sole shoes, and everyone is entering the market with their rocker shoe. This will no doubt cause some confusion as to which brand to buy, so I wrote a short article about how to evaluate rocker sole shoes for your needs. Hope this helps: http://www.totalrelieffootwear.com/all-about-rocker-sole-shoes 1297

my MBTs are great, I have knee problems and like to walk alot.. wearing my mbt's I dont get any probs.. they feel great on and I can feel my leg muscles and buttock muscles working hard due to the rocking motion when you walk.. they take a bit of getting used to but feel soft and your joints feel cushioned... I used to get blisters but walk for an hour a day in them without any trouble now. 1355

I have been wearing MBTs since 2003 to work out in and wear pretty much all the time. Have owned about six pair. My favorite is still the Sport High no longer available - well it was until I found RYN on Bliss World http://www.blissworld.com/category/brands/ryn+footwear.do WOW these are the best work out shoes by far. They feel like a double dosage of the MBT Sport High, they are lighter and much more streamlined, they feel good and at the same time you can feel the burn right away. They look better also. At the start after an hour wearing them I had more than enough execise, but now have gotten to the point where I can wear them all day. Skechers Shape Ups I tried on once in a mall store and compared with the real thing they felt decaffeinated and sloppy and I can understand why they only cost $80. 1415
