Did I get duped?

I'm brand new to MBT shoes. In fact, I was all set to buy another brand (Skechers Shape ups) when I read on a message board that MBT is much better. So I immediately googled MBT and found shoes that were actually cheaper than the Skechers. Naturally, I ordered them. I just realized when I received shipping notification a little while ago that they are coming from China! Am I getting "fakes", or a knock off shoe that is going to be terrible quality? Thanks so much for your reply. 1238

Virtually everything is made in China no matter the quality, however; there are many fakes of everything & not always easy to differentiate from the authentic ones. 1387

I bought MBT shoes from an MBT internet retail shoe store. I was not aware they were coming from China. I was even charged sales tax. Mine are not real MBT shoes. The internet retailer will not refund my money even though his web page says 30 day moneyback guarantee. Good chance they are" Fakes " Good Knock off. One pair of mine the toes do not match up and the gray paint on the heels is peeling off the other after wearing them two hours. I am having a very difficult time getting my credit card company to back me. From my experience I would refuse the package when it arrives. 1388

Same experience from MBTshow. Bad quality. Package from China. Something appears to be wrong here. Am going to contact my credit card company. 1511

Probably. I started wearing MBT's six years ago after I had a stroke. They allow me to walk comfortably I recently ordered a "bargain" on line. Whwn they arrived from China, I noticed the stitching was a different color, and they did not feel like my store bought shoes. I decided to give them a chance, and after 4 times, the top eyelet that holds the laces broke off and can't be fixed. So they are going in the trash and I will be going back to my local store where certain styles are on sale half off. A $98.00 lesson learned. A bargain is not always a bargain 1615

I've ordered sandals which arrived from China and am now wearing them. I guess they are copies, but as I've never tried on the expensive ones it's difficult to compare. I like the ones I have. I'm definitely getting the benefit of them, increased muscle activity in legs, so I'm ok with them. 1618

Last late fall/early winter, MBT did reduce the price of several of their lines in response to competition from Skechers, Reebok, etc. I read this on CNN. So - like any internet purchase, you have to MAKE SURE you are buying from an authentic seller. There are lots of knock offs out there described as MBT style. I wouldn't worry if you bought them from the authentic MBT site. Like I said, they did drop prices in time to generate some Christmas 2009 sales. 1868

I bought a pair of MBT and am wearing them I find that I am getting a benefical effect. They came from china MBTshoe sales.com so I don't know if they are real or fake but they are great I have a heel spur and find it difficult to walk any distance but with these the pain seems reduced the foot more cushioned and I am now able for 3 mile walk every evening so thats my experience.
