im co-director at foot-well.com where we sell all posture shoes, we are specialists. Though I am not a medic and would happily defer to the opinion of trained professionals such as podios etc, this thred is some general advice I can give through serving 8500 customers this last year. So any medics on here please no offence intended and happy to learn from you too. thought i would try to guide people about health and mbts. mbts improve posture due to the curved sole keeping you constantly unstable, your brain adjusts by autorepsonse to make you stand straighter. A knock-on effect is that your brain forces your leg and core body muscles to work constantly to keep your balance, which then tones you up. Simple as that, ignore anything else you have read that doesnt explain this. mbts help people who stoop to walk upright, which stops them having neck and back problems in general. stooping by only 4 degrees increases the load on your whole back by 25%,so these customers see an i... read more |

in response: ". . . buy on line, ignore the training and the fitting then you are asking for trouble and resorting to lawsuits may gain you money but not common sense" I went to a very reputable local shoe store, known for it's fitting expertise. They stock expensive comfort shoes, mostly European brands. They fit those with foot deformities, corrective shoes, and even shoes for people whose foot sizes differ greatly from one to the other. They also carry the MBT shoes. I have foot problems, so I buy good shoes. They know me in the store!! I went in to try on the MBT's. My "fitting" consisted of the salesperson bringing me my size. I was fitted with a EU 39 (which was fine, by the way). My narrow heel, and wide instep, was not an issue. My training consisted of being told to slow down my pace, narrow my stride, and stand up straight. Sounded a lot like my mother :o) Sometimes, a real good sales pitch is needed to sell high dollar shoes. You have to play to vanity,... read more |

Come on folks do you ever read the instructions - like most new 'toys' you must follow the guidelines to get the best out of anything - MBTs should be fitted properly in person not bought on line, guidance given by the trained seller in how best to break them and yourself in (a couple of hours use daily for the first few weeks and then not all the time afterwards) I have been wearing them since they first arrived and they do the job - buy on line, ignore the training and the fitting then you are asking for trouble and resorting to lawsuits may gain you money but not common sense |

WHEN I PUT THEM ON I THOUGHT THEY WERE THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES EVER. THAT IS UNTIL YOU ARE WALKING FAST AND STEP ON A STONE OR ANYTHING UNEVEN...........THE SHOES SEND YOU FLYING AND YOU CAN'T STOP THE FALL...NO WAY. I'VE PUT MY BACK OUT AND NOW MY LEFT LEG IS NUMB DOWN THE SIDE. THESE ARE DANGEROUS. WHAT SHOULD WE DO ABOUT IT? |

I ordered shoes from the above website but shoes were shipped from China. They are the most uncomfortable shoes ever. I have telephoned and written to the company and am getting nowhere. I can return the goods for them to look at them and agree and the only thing they have offered me is a free gift? I think there is a language problem also. I already have a pair of mbt shoes and they have been fantastic but just beware and don't use the above website. |

I tried on my first pair of MBTs today and after about 15 mins of walking around the store I started to feel dizzy. After I took them off the feeling passed. I do suffer from motion sickness quite badly so it may be just be me but I wonder if anyone else has experienced this and will it pass as I get used to them. I am really quite keen to get a pair as my posture is bad, I get backache, and I would like to tone my calf muscle after an Achilles tendon operation last year. |

I got my MBTs this month and have been wearing them lightly, but I just went on a "real" walk today in them and I got blisters on the backs of my feet so badly I needed to take them off and walk in my socks back to my car! The shoes are a bit tight, but I wanted them to be snug, cause I thought the next size up felt too relaxed. Any one else with this problem? What should MBTs feel like in regards to tightness? |

MBT Chapa healthy shoes

MBT Chapa healthy shoes are a series of anti MBT shoes,The surface of MBT Chapa shoes are smooth and they are one kind of powerful daily training shoes. They can activate the muscles of your whole body and make you get most of the attention no matter where you go. On the street, you can see there are so many mini-shoes, high heels and other shoes so special and rare. In my opinion these shoes are really attractive, but most of the time, they play a role as decorative ornaments and they don’t wear so comfortable in reality. The first time you wear these shoes, you feel they do not correspond to your feet and even if after a while, you accept, you will notice that your feet were deformed. So I always think that, apart from necessary social occasions, MBT Chapa can be our best option in force. A pair of MBT Chapa healthy shoes can not only make so convenient, but it can also help prevent foot problems and disorders of the knee. |

How to care your leather shoes in daily life?

Leather has a habit of cracking when it dries out and although polishing your shoes or boots regularly helps them to keep looking good you also have to take precautions to stop them drying out. Once a month you should treat your leather shoes with a moisturizer which soaks into the leather to prevent it drying out, there are some creams that you can purchase specially made for this purpose, but you can save some money by using a dab of petroleum jelly and buffing it into the shoe once a month before polishing your shoes in the normal way. Olive oil or even a dash of cooking oil can also prevent your leather shoes from drying out. Soft Leather Leather sneakers or sports shoes, ladies and gents sandals, leather slippers, a quick once over with a damp cloth sometimes just isn't enough to clean soft leather shoes, and throwing them into the washing machine for a quick wash is a bad idea, the detergent in the machine can react with the glue leaving your shoes... read more |

MBT shoes made in China or Vietnam?

I just bought 2 pair of MBT shoes for me and my husband in a Footwear etc store. I found that one pair from China and one pair from Vietnam. I went back to the store and fond there are not any MBT shoes shown on the store are from Korea. According to an interview of Fox Business New , Klaus Heidegger explained that the reason the price of shoes is so high is because they are made in Korea. However, I went to one of the biggest and official distribution, only got shoes from China and Vietnam. It made me wonder weather I got the fake MBT or I got a poor quality ones and I overpaid them? I did not choose buy MBT from the amazon in a cheaper prices because I have the quality concern, therefore I went to the store which I think I can trust. But now it really confused me. Can someone assure me that the shoes I bought are fine? the news clip is below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zg6tmaJV39s |

hello i was wondering if you could help me decide on some shoes to buy. I like to go jogging and sometimes sprinting, which i find is a very effective fat loss exercise for me. However, i sometimes get sore knees after sprinting. I have seen Rocker shoes on the internet & they seem to be a good idea. The cushioning sounds like what i need. I see that MBT's aren't really recommended for fast running, so is there a rocker shoe or similar well-cushioned shoe you could recommend for me? Thank you very much, |

When these MBT Shoes have once been admitted, it is seen to be so untrue that there is, in the social contract, any real renunciation on the part of the individuals, that the position in which they find themselves as a result of the contract is really preferable to that in which they were before. Instead of a renunciation, they have made an advantageous exchange: instead of an uncertain and precarious way of living they have got one that is better and more secure; instead of natural independence they have got liberty, instead of the power to harm others security for themselves, and instead of their strength, which others might overcome, a right which social union makes invincible. Their very life, which they have devoted to the State, is by it constantly protected; and when they risk it in the State's defence, what more are they doing than giving back what they have received from it? What are they doing that they would not do more often and with greater danger in the state of nature... read more |

I'm considering buying either the MBT's or the Skecher Shapers to tone up and get in better shape but I see all kinds of mixed reviews. MBT's are more expensive than the Shapers so I'm left wondering if the MBT's are better. Has anyone purchased either pairs of these shoes for fitness purposes and seen any signifigant results? |
